- Date of birth - For age-appropriate nutrition recommendations
- Biological sex - For more accurate metabolic rate calculations
- Country - For regional food recommendations and seasonal produce suggestions
- Ethnicity - For culturally appropriate meal suggestions

2. How We Use Your Information
- Nutrition Calculations: Calculate personalized daily calorie and macronutrient targets using evidence-based formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor equation, TDEE calculations)

3. Third-Party Services
AI Service Provider: We use Google Gemini API to process your nutrition data and generate personalized meal recommendations. When you use AI features:
- Your profile data and nutrition preferences are transmitted securely to Google's servers
- Data is used solely to generate your meal recommendations
- Google does not store or retain your personal health data
- Transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols
Authentication: We offer social login through Google and Apple Sign-In. When you use these services, we only receive your email address and name - we never access your password.

- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption
